APC Symmetra UPS's are modular units designed to be fully redundant and scalable to be flexible to fit any need. Symmetra units are priced by how they are configured. A basic unit consists of the frame, intelligence modules, power modules, battery modules, and management accessories. All modules are hot-swappable and are designed to be changed with the unit is running. Additional battery frames or cabinets may be purchased to add to the runtime. This unit features online dual conversion for the cleanest power possible and best protection against power surges, spikes and brownouts.
The Symmetra Extended Run Frame is an additional cabinet that connects to the Symmetra UPS to extend runtime. Up to 12 SYBATTs may be installed in the Run Frame; this unit comes with (8) SYBATT battery packs, as well as the cable to connect the units.
